Good morning!
May. 3rd, 2009 08:23 amGood morning!
It's a peaceful spring day, just past Beltane.
It was raining last night, and consequently, the lawn is dripping wet. Kitty was not particularly happy about that when she went out for her morning stroll. At 7 this morning(roughly 30 minutes past sunrise right now), the town was very still. Moscow, Idaho is a pretty small town, so it is really quiet in the morning. Sometimes I can hear tractor trailers rumbling down the highway in the morning, but except for them, the house is still. The weather has been particularly rough up here this spring, being largely cold, wet, snowy, and generally miserable. It may be that we're finally turning the corner now. I certainly hope so!
I am very glad the garden was worked on Friday evening, just in time for the rain. My next big task is to plant beans(or is it peas? I can't remember), on my south plot. Photos of the plots will be made and put on photobucket, just for fun. Maybe I should take pictures from now until the garden finishes it's harvest...hmm, that sounds like a good idea. Speaking of blogging about gardening, one of the most fascinating blogs I've run into is Dad's Tomato Garden Journal. He's about 95, and it's really a treat hearing the thoughts of someone who's lived so long. He's very tomato-oriented, but the tidbits of thoughts he tosses out are also fun to read.
